Thanksgiving Day On 22November-2018 there is a day that remembers and traditionally celebrated as Thanksgiving Day, it's celebrated annually on the fourth of Thursday of November in the United States, it is also celebrated in Canada but on the second Monday of October. Basically, it is a religious observation to give thanks to GOD.

Family member gathers on this day and shares Happiness with each other. People celebrate different things. It's a four-day weekend holiday for a lot of people from their work and children from their school etc. Thanksgiving Day

Children especially enjoy this holiday, they not only get a huge meal with all the family members but also they get four days of cartoons, sleeping late, games, etc. Peoples give thanks to each other. The true meaning of this day is Thanksgiving especially when the current year has been better than last year.

There are some traditional celebrations of Thanksgiving Day like as:

Giving thanks: Basically, this is a religious day, to give thanks to GOD for a common purpose. Foods (Thanksgiving meal and Dinner): At 1621 Pilgrims who settled in Plymouth, Massachusetts specially arrange the meal for this holiday, since that time this holiday continued with meal and Thanksgiving dinner. Thanksgiving Day Families and friends usually gather for a large meal or dinner on Thanksgiving Day. There are much meal cooked for this day but especially turkey made recipes are playing a larger role in the celebration of thanksgiving. Before and after these meal and dinner people give thanks to "GOD". There are many turkey recipes for serving. (Turkey is the largest bird in North America. Parades: The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is the part of this day, it held in New York City for 3-hour start at 9:00 A.M EST. It was started in 1924. It lives telecast on NBC.Thanksgiving Day

Sports There are many sports on Thanksgiving Day; Especially American football is the most important part of this celebration. Professional games traditionally held on Thanksgiving Day. These played during the week part form Sunday or Monday night. NFL played its game on this day since its creation. College basketball tournaments take place over Thanksgiving weekend. Television and radio also play a role on Thanksgiving Day. NBC now carries the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and also carries the National Dog Show after the Macy's Parade. Black Friday 2010: Black Friday is a Friday after Thanksgiving Day in the U.S; traditionally it is the beginning of the Christmas shopping. Black Friday is the first shopping day after Thanksgiving Day. Mostly retailers open extremely early, open at 5AM or even earlier. Some big retailers such as Target, Sears, Best Buy etc open as early as midnight on the start of Black Friday and stay open for 24 hours until midnight the following Saturday, and offer doorstep deals and loss leader to draw people to their stores. Black Friday is the busiest retail shopping day of the year Thanksgiving Day.
